The Copic Original Marker as it has become known, was the first marker from Copic thus its name. The Copic Original Marker is designed for the Artist and Designer who wants to produce professional results. Each Marker contains ink that is alcohol based, fast drying and non toxic. The dual tip feature provides maximum flexibility so you can work on detailed parts and cover larger areas with the same pen. Markers can be refilled with Copic Various Inks and with the tips being made from a very durable polyester, they will last you a lifetime.

The tips on each Copic marker will last many years if they are cared for properly. When I say cared for, I simply mean replacing the caps after use. When your marker runs out (usually indicated by streaking of the colours as you lay them down), rather than throw it away why no refill it with Copic Various Ink?

Copic Various ink refill bottles are the "gas stations" for any Copic marker. One single bottle refills a Sketch Marker at least 13 times, a Ciao Marker over 16 times and the Copic Original Marker 9 times !. This makes Copic the most economical marker system worldwide.

All you need to do is simply match the colour number with your marker colour number and it's like having a brand new marker to work with.  The refill inks come with guaranteed colour consistency and a 3 year guaranteed shelf life.

To refill your marker use Copic tweezers to remove the nib, then fill with specially designed refill bottle. The entire Copic range of markers can be refilled (including Copic Ciao).

COPIC ink is alcohol-based, fast-drying, permanent, non-toxic and acid free. It won’t dissolve toner and can be used in multimedia projects as it works well with watercolours and coloured pencils.
